Melissa Morone Sommer

Dr. Melissa Morone Sommer is a state-licensed acupuncturist at Illume Fertility who sees patients at the Trumbull, CT office; she is not a physician, and her doctorate is in acupuncture. She is nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She completed a Master of Science in Acupuncture with honors at the University of Bridgeport's Acupuncture Institute and later earned a Doctorate in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health Sciences. Her practice supports women's reproductive health across fertility treatment, pregnancy and the postpartum period. She also treats patients dealing with anxiety, depression, pain and internal medicine concerns, and describes her approach as addressing body, mind and spirit together through individualized treatment plans developed in partnership with each patient.
