About

New England Fertility Institute (NEFI) is a private fertility practice in Stamford, Connecticut. Reproductive endocrinologist Gad Lavy, MD, founded it in 1991 and still leads it, alongside Michael M. Guarnaccia, MD, MPH. In July 2025 the practice was sold to CSG.Bio, a fertility and family-building company that has since added further clinics and an egg bank.

The clinic is at 1275 Summer Street, Suite 201, in Stamford and has its own embryology team; its site describes the Connecticut offices as convenient for patients coming from New York City.

NEFI offers fertility testing, IUI, IVF with preimplantation genetic testing, egg freezing, and treatment for male infertility. It runs an in-house egg donor agency and supports gestational surrogacy and LGBTQ+ family building. International patients are a large part of the practice. The site has Spanish, Hebrew and Chinese versions, a Chinese-language international page, remote video consultations, and travel concierge help.
