Melvin H. Thornton

Dr. Melvin H. Thornton II is a reproductive endocrinologist who is affiliated with Extend Fertility in New York City, where he is currently not accepting new patients. He holds board certification in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, completed his internship and residency at the University of Southern California, and pursued further training in advanced reproductive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He later joined the Columbia University faculty, serving as medical director and head of the egg donation program at the Center for Women's Reproductive Care. His main focus is egg donation and surrogacy, and his research has included fertility care for HIV-serodiscordant couples. He is an associate professor at Quinnipiac University.
