Joseph G. Whelan

About

Dr. Joseph G. Whelan is a reproductive endocrinologist at Reproductive Endocrinology Associates of Charlotte (REACH), where he has practiced since moving from Virginia in 2004. He serves as the practice's assisted reproductive technologies practice director and sees patients at the Charlotte, Ballantyne, and Langtree offices. He received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Washington and Lee University and his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He trained in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Richland Memorial Hospital, then completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has written on ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, hyperprolactinemia, and uterine fibroids. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
