About
North Carolina Center for Reproductive Medicine (NCCRM) is an independent fertility and reproductive surgery practice founded in 1992 in the Research Triangle. The secondary name, the Talbert Fertility Institute, honors the late Luther M. Talbert, MD, a practice founder credited with North Carolina's first successful IVF. The late Gerald Mulvaney, MD, was another founder. Today the practice is led by medical director Sameh K. Toma, MD.
The main facility is at 400 Ashville Avenue in Cary and includes an on-site embryology laboratory and surgical suites. Patients can also be seen at an office on North Church Street in Greensboro. The care team includes physicians, advanced practice providers, consulting urologists and a laboratory staff led by a PhD laboratory director.
Services include IUI, IVF, egg freezing, family balancing and male-factor evaluation. Third-party options include donor egg treatment, embryo adoption, a gestational surrogacy program and support with sperm donors. The practice is also known for tubal ligation reversal, Essure removal and other minimally invasive pelvic surgery. Patients from out of state can do much of their monitoring at partner clinics closer to home.
