Valerie Shavell

Dr. Valerie I. Shavell is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist at The Fertility Center (Michigan Reproductive & IVF Center) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she has practiced since 2013. She completed both her undergraduate studies and her medical degree at Cornell University, then trained in residency and fellowship at Wayne State University. She holds board certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and teaches as a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Western Michigan University School of Medicine. Beyond general infertility care, her clinical focus includes recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovary syndrome and fertility preservation through egg and embryo freezing, and she helps patients build families with donor sperm, donor eggs or donated embryos.
