Mark Leondires

Dr. Mark P. Leondires is the founder and medical director of Illume Fertility, a practice he started in 2002 that now operates five offices in Connecticut and New York, and he also leads its LGBTQ+ family-building resource, Gay Parents To Be. He holds board certification in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. After studying at Colby College, he earned his medical degree at the University of Vermont, trained in OB/GYN at Maine Medical Center, and completed his REI fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. He later directed assisted reproduction for a federal military REI program while serving in the U.S. Army. His clinical interests center on donor conception, surrogacy and inclusive care for LGBTQ+ patients, and he co-authored a guide to donor conception.
