Fertility Center of Las Vegas

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas (FCLV) was founded in 1988 by Dr. Bruce Shapiro, MD, PhD, and was the first infertility practice to open in southern Nevada. Dr. Shapiro, who trained at Yale and earned his PhD at the University of Amsterdam, still leads the independent practice alongside reproductive endocrinologists Dr. Carrie Bedient and Dr. Leah Kaye.

In June 2023 the clinic moved from West Sahara Avenue into a purpose-built, 18,500-square-foot facility at 5365 S. Durango Drive in southwest Las Vegas, which combines the clinic, the embryology laboratory and an ambulatory surgery center under one roof.

Services include IUI, IVF with preimplantation genetic testing, egg freezing, and fertility preservation for cancer patients. Third-party options cover donor eggs through an in-house donor database, donor sperm, embryo donation and gestational surrogacy, and the practice works with LGBTQ+ and transgender patients. FCLV runs a dedicated international program with remote consultations, an international case manager for each patient and free concierge help with travel and lodging, and its coordinators speak English, Spanish, French and Chinese.
