About Us

How FertilitySync sources, writes and reviews its content

FertilitySync is a directory of U.S. fertility services — IVF clinics, egg banks, sperm banks, surrogacy agencies and fertility doctors — with patient guides in English and Chinese. This page explains where our data comes from, which medical sources we rely on, who reviews our content, and how articles are edited and updated.

Where our data comes from

Clinic success rates

Clinic-level IVF outcomes come from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) reporting, which clinics are required to submit under federal law. We currently show data years 2020–2022 and update them as the CDC releases new years. National benchmarks in our articles use the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) National Summary Report.

Clinic and agency profiles

Addresses, services, medical directors, networks and descriptions are checked against each clinic's, bank's or agency's official website. When a clinic closes, merges or rebrands, we update or remove its listing. Clinics can claim their listing and send corrections, which we verify before publishing.

Doctor profiles

Physician profiles are based on the doctor's page on their clinic's official website and the U.S. National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Education and board certifications are listed only when an official source states them.

Medical information sources

Medical content in our articles is based on U.S. government agencies, professional medical societies and peer-reviewed research. Each article lists the specific sources it cites at the end.

Editorial and review process

  1. 1

    Topic selection

We choose topics from the questions patients actually ask and search for, and check that a new article adds something our existing articles do not.

  2. 2

    Research and drafting

Editors research each topic in the sources listed above and draft the article in English and Chinese. We may use AI tools to help organize research and prepare first drafts; every draft is then checked and rewritten by our editors.

  3. 3

    Fact-checking

Every number — success rates, costs, timelines, dosage ranges — must trace back to a cited source, with its year and definition. If we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out. Sources are listed at the end of each article.

  4. 4

    Medical review

Articles with medical content are reviewed by our medical advisors for accuracy and balance before publication.

  5. 5

    Publishing and updates

Each article shows its update date. We review articles when new CDC or SART data, guidelines or laws are released, and correct errors as soon as we confirm them.

Our principles

  • We do not recommend specific clinics in our articles. Directory listings let you compare clinics using public data.
  • We do not publish success-rate guarantees, rankings or promotional claims.
  • Content on this site is general information, not medical advice. Please discuss your situation with a licensed fertility specialist.
