Dr. Sonja Yoo is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and laparoscopic surgeon who joined Advanced Reproductive Specialists / Jacksonville Center for Reproductive Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2022 to focus on gynecologic care. Raised in Central Texas, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, earned her osteopathic medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Austin, where she was chief resident in gynecology. She then practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Austin for 17 years, gaining extensive experience in minimally invasive laparoscopy. Her interests include painful or irregular periods, chronic pelvic pain and difficulty conceiving, which she addresses with a combination of medical, surgical and nutritional approaches.
