Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine

Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine (VCRM) is an independent fertility practice in Reston, Virginia. Reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Fady I. Sharara, a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at George Washington University, founded it in February 2002. At this small practice, Dr. Sharara performs the consultations, monitoring ultrasounds, egg retrievals and embryo transfers himself.

The clinic is at 11150 Sunset Hills Road in Reston, about 10 minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport. It has its own embryology and andrology laboratory and does same-day reproductive hormone testing in-house. The lab handles ICSI, blastocyst culture, embryo biopsy for PGT-A and PGT-M, and vitrification of eggs and embryos.

Services include fertility evaluation, IUI, IVF, egg freezing, sperm DNA fragmentation testing, an in-house egg donor program and gestational surrogacy. LGBTQ+ family building includes donor IUI and reciprocal IVF, and since 2004 the clinic has offered male couples transfers of embryos created with sperm from each partner. An international program offers video consultations and coordinates pre-cycle testing with doctors in the patient's home country, and Dr. Sharara can conduct care in French.
