Fady Sharara

About

Dr. Fady I. Sharara is the founder and medical director of the Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine (VCRM) in Reston, Virginia, which he opened in 2002. He is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He received a B.S. in chemistry and his medical degree, with honors, from the American University of Beirut, completed his OB/GYN residency at George Washington University Hospital, and trained in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health. He previously held faculty posts at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is a clinical professor of OB/GYN at George Washington University. He has authored more than 120 scientific papers and chapters, and at VCRM he personally performs patients' monitoring, egg retrievals and embryo transfers.
