The Fertility Center of Oregon

The Fertility Center of Oregon is an independent fertility practice in Eugene led by medical director Douglas J. Austin, MD. Its roots go back to 1976, when Paul Kaplan, MD started The Fertility Center at Women's Care. In 2002 Dr. Austin, who had partnered with Dr. Kaplan, opened dedicated IVF facilities in Eugene under the current name; Dr. Kaplan retired in 2005.

The center is at 590 Country Club Parkway and houses its own embryology and andrology laboratory, staffed by an on-site embryologist. The care team includes nurse practitioners, a physician associate and IVF nurse coordinators, and one nurse practitioner is bilingual in English and Spanish. The facility holds QUAD A accreditation.

Reproductive services include IUI, IVF, preimplantation genetic testing, egg and embryo donation, fertility preservation, male factor evaluation and treatment, and care for recurrent pregnancy loss. The practice also offers LGBTQ family-building services, reproductive surgery, diagnostic imaging, and gynecologic and hormone care such as PCOS and menopause management.
