About

OHSU Fertility, formerly known as University Fertility Consultants, is the fertility program of Oregon Health & Science University, the state's public academic health center in Portland. Established in 1982 under Dr. Kenneth Burry, it was Oregon's first fertility program and performed the state's first IVF procedures; it also trains reproductive endocrinology fellows and runs fertility research.

The clinic is based on the 10th floor of the OHSU Center for Health & Healing in South Waterfront. Since 2024 OHSU has collaborated with Spring Fertility: most IVF cycles now take place at Spring Fertility's Portland clinic on NW Savier Street, where OHSU physicians continue to care for patients who start their workup at OHSU.

At OHSU, services include fertility evaluation and reproductive endocrinology care, IUI, fertility preservation such as sperm freezing, and family-building support for LGBTQ+ patients and single parents. OHSU also continues to operate its own egg donor program.
