The Fertility and Gynecology Center, Monterey Bay IVF

The Fertility & Gynecology Center – Monterey Bay IVF is the independent, physician-led practice of Dr. Edward J. Ramirez, a Stanford-trained, board-certified OB/GYN. He opened the practice in Salinas in 1994 and in 2008 moved it to its current purpose-built facility outside Monterey. Every patient is seen by Dr. Ramirez personally, for ultrasounds and procedures as well as consultations.

The center sits on Blue Larkspur Lane in Monterey and describes itself as the only full-service IVF program on the California coast between San Jose and Santa Barbara. Its clinic, accredited surgery center, CAP-accredited embryology lab, andrology lab and hormone lab are all in one building. Services include ovulation induction, IUI, IVF with ICSI and TESE, preimplantation genetic testing, egg and embryo freezing, donor egg and donor sperm, gestational carriers, family balancing, LGBT family building, fertility preservation for cancer patients, care for recurrent pregnancy loss, and general gynecology.

The practice takes out-of-state and international patients and can consult by Skype. Dr. Ramirez speaks Spanish and Japanese, the staff is bilingual, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.
