About

Western Fertility Institute (WFI) is an independent fertility practice in Encino, California, led by reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Ashim Kumar, who completed his fellowship at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai and is board certified in both reproductive endocrinology and OB/GYN.

The main clinic and embryology lab sit on Ventura Boulevard in Encino, with a second office in Arcadia in the San Gabriel Valley. WFI offers IVF, frozen embryo transfer, IUI, embryo and egg freezing, preimplantation genetic testing, oncofertility and HIV sperm washing. Third-party reproduction is a major focus: the practice runs in-house surrogacy and egg donor coordination teams and also works with donor sperm, and it has a dedicated program for same-sex couples.

A large share of WFI's patients travel from abroad. The clinic maintains representative offices in Taipei and Shanghai, operates a Chinese-language website, and lists coordinators who speak Mandarin, Cantonese and Spanish.
