Jeong Hee Moon

Jeong Hee Moon, PhD, is the embryologist and Director of Laboratories at The Fertility & Gynecology Center - Monterey Bay IVF in Monterey, California, a role she took on in October 2021. She earned her PhD from the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 2008 and directed the IVF laboratory at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital until 2009. She then worked at the McGill Reproductive Center in Quebec, Canada, before relocating to the United States in 2015. She is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Laboratory Director. At Monterey Bay IVF she oversees laboratory operations, embryo and blastocyst culture, cryopreservation and thawing, ICSI, assisted hatching, embryo biopsy for genetic testing, and processing of surgically retrieved sperm.
