About
Hanabusa IVF is a private fertility clinic in San Diego founded in 2015 as a collaboration between Dr. Lyndon Chang and Dr. Masahide Shiotani, founder of Hanabusa Women's Clinic in Kobe, Japan. Dr. Chang, the medical director, is known for bringing Japanese-style minimal-stimulation protocols to U.S. practice, and Dr. Diana LeBlanc also treats patients at the clinic.
The clinic is located at 4910 Directors Place, Suite 150, in San Diego, with an on-site embryology lab that is CAP-accredited and holds a California tissue bank license, and a procedure room accredited by AAAASF. The lab focuses on vitrification, serves as the lab for Asian Egg Bank and ships frozen eggs and embryos worldwide.
Alongside conventional IVF, IUI, frozen embryo transfer and PGT, Hanabusa specializes in Mini IVF and natural-cycle IVF. It sees many complex cases such as diminished ovarian reserve, premature ovarian insufficiency, recurrent loss and prior IVF failure, and also offers egg freezing, donor egg and donor embryo programs, surrogacy, LGBTQ+ family building and an international program that works with agencies in China, Europe and Asia.
