About
The Lexington Fertility Center is an independent fertility practice in Lexington, Kentucky, founded in 2012 by George M. Veloudis Jr., DO, FACOOG, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who focuses on reproductive medicine and infertility and serves as medical director. Its IVF laboratory is directed by Cristina Bastias, MD, a board-certified high-complexity clinical laboratory director.
The practice is located on the east side of Lexington and keeps its examination rooms, embryologist and laboratory under one roof, so patients in Central Kentucky can complete diagnostics and treatment without traveling. Care starts with female and male fertility testing, including ultrasound, hysterosalpingography and semen analysis, and genetic carrier screening.
Treatment options range from ovulation induction and IUI with partner or donor sperm to IVF with ICSI, blastocyst transfer, frozen embryo transfer and preimplantation genetic screening of embryos. The center also offers donor egg services, egg, sperm and embryo freezing for fertility preservation, recurrent pregnancy loss evaluation and male infertility care. Dr. Veloudis performs minimally invasive surgery for fibroids, polyps, endometriosis and tubal disease, as well as microsurgical tubal ligation reversal.
