About

The SIU Fertility & IVF Center is the academic fertility program of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (SIU Medicine) in Springfield, Illinois. It opened in January 2009 in a newly built, roughly $2.5 million facility with three SIU faculty physicians and three senior laboratory staff, and it serves patients from across central and southern Illinois.

The center sits at 751 N. Rutledge Street, Suite 0100, near the SIU Medicine campus in Springfield. It houses its own embryology laboratory, accredited by the College of American Pathologists, and the clinic is a SART member. Care is provided by physicians board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and urology, supported by specialty nurses, genetic counselors and dietitians.

Treatment options include fertility evaluation, ovulation induction, IVF, preimplantation genetic testing, donor sperm and donor egg treatment, and gestational surrogacy. Because urologists work on site, the center also offers surgical treatment for male infertility, along with robotic-assisted reproductive surgery.
