Puerto Rico Fertility Center

Puerto Rico Fertility Center (legally Puerto Rico Fertility and Reproductive Center, PSC) was founded in 1985 by reproductive endocrinologist Pedro J. Beauchamp, MD, who returned to Puerto Rico after working with an early IVF program in Houston. The clinic started the island's first IVF program that year, and its first IVF baby, born in 1986, was reported as the first in Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean. Amaury J. Lloréns-Martínez, MD joined the practice in 2002.

The center operates from Suite 503 of the Dr. Arturo Cadilla building at 100 Paseo San Pablo in Bayamón. Its IVF program runs within a Department of Health-licensed outpatient surgery center, with an in-house embryology lab, an andrology department and a clinical laboratory for hormone testing.

Services cover infertility evaluation, ovulation induction and IUI, IVF with ICSI, embryo freezing and frozen transfers, testicular sperm extraction for male-factor cases, egg donation, donated embryos, preimplantation genetic diagnosis and IVF for gestational carriers. The clinic's website is available in both Spanish and English.
