About
The Kaiser Permanente Center for Reproductive Health in Sacramento is one of three fertility hubs that Kaiser Permanente, the integrated health plan and care system, runs in Northern California. The other two are in Fremont and San Francisco. The centers mainly serve Kaiser Permanente members, many of whose health plans cover infertility diagnosis and, depending on the plan, IVF and fertility preservation.
The Sacramento center is in the Point West Medical Office Building at 1650 Response Road, and it combines a reproductive endocrinology and infertility clinic with one of the system's three embryology labs. Patients can have their consultations and cycle monitoring at a nearby Kaiser REI department, such as Vacaville, and then come to a hub for egg retrieval and embryo transfer. The labs are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and report to SART.
Services include IVF with genetic testing of embryos, cycles using donor eggs or donor sperm, IVF for gestational surrogacy, egg and embryo freezing for fertility preservation, and family building for LGBTQ+ patients. Male infertility procedures are handled mainly at Kaiser's Oakland Medical Center.
