About
CCRM Fertility of Houston began as Houston IVF, founded in 2001 by reproductive endocrinologist Timothy N. Hickman, MD together with William Schoolcraft, MD, founder of the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Hickman, who previously directed the U.S. Air Force IVF program at Wilford Hall Medical Center, remains the practice's founding physician and medical director. The clinic now operates under the CCRM Fertility name, part of a North American network of fertility clinics based in Colorado.
The main center is at 929 Gessner Road, Suite 2300, in Houston's Memorial City area, with monitoring available seven days a week. Its physician team includes Dr. Hickman, Rashmi Kudesia, MD, Katherine McKnight, MD and Beth Zhou, MD, supported by nurse practitioners.
Services include fertility testing, IUI, IVF with ICSI, preimplantation genetic testing, egg and embryo freezing, donor eggs through CCRM's donor database, donor sperm, reciprocal IVF and other LGBTQIA+ family building, gestational carrier cycles, and male fertility evaluation. In 2010 the practice reported Texas's first live births from frozen eggs.
