Peter Wieckowski

Dr. Peter Wieckowski is a PhD embryologist who serves as IVF Laboratory Director at Buffalo IVF; he is a laboratory scientist, not a physician. After a Bachelor of Science at SUNY Geneseo, he started as a junior embryologist in a Western New York IVF laboratory, then earned a PhD at the Medical University of South Carolina studying gene expression in early embryo development. Over more than 20 years he has worked as an embryologist and laboratory director in New York, Massachusetts, Florida and South Carolina, including the Fertility Center of Charleston and Fertility Centers of New England. He is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Laboratory Director, and his interests include egg and embryo cryopreservation and preimplantation genetic testing.
