Yufen Xie

About

Dr. Yufen Xie is the IVF laboratory director at Incinta Fertility Center in Torrance, California, certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as both a high-complexity clinical laboratory director and an embryology laboratory director. She oversees the embryology and andrology laboratories, including lab design, protocols, staff training and quality control. She earned her medical degree and completed obstetrics and gynecology residency at Zhong Shan University School of Medicine in China, then obtained a PhD in medical genetics at Essen University School of Medicine in Germany, followed by postdoctoral research in reproductive and developmental biology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters, with research on reducing stress during embryo development. She speaks English and Mandarin.
