Gaya Murugappan

About

Dr. Gayathree (Gaya) Murugappan is a fertility specialist at Spring Fertility Silicon Valley, certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Before joining Spring she practiced at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she was associate director of the REI fellowship and directed the ROSE Reproductive Biobank. She majored in biomedical engineering and Spanish literature at Johns Hopkins University, received her medical degree through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program, and completed both residency and fellowship at Stanford. Her clinical interests include recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, PCOS, fertility preservation and male-factor infertility. She has published research on pregnancy loss, preimplantation genetic screening and fertility as a marker of general health, with NIH grant support. She speaks Spanish and Tamil.
