About
The Infertility Center of St. Louis is an independent practice led by Dr. Sherman J. Silber, a urologist and microsurgeon known for his work on vasectomy reversal, testicular sperm retrieval and ovarian tissue transplantation. The practice is affiliated with St. Luke's Hospital in suburban Chesterfield, where its IVF laboratory began operating in 1985. Dr. Silber practices alongside longtime partner Dr. Michael DeRosa and Dr. Yuting Fan.
The clinic's office is in the medical building at 224 S. Woods Mill Road, and its newer IVF lab is connected to the egg retrieval and embryo transfer suite. Treatment options include conventional IVF, mini-IVF and IVF for women over 40, ICSI, preimplantation genetic testing, and freezing of eggs, embryos and sperm.
Male infertility is a major focus, with microsurgical vasectomy reversal and testicular sperm extraction (TESE). The center also performs tubal ligation reversal, freezes ovarian tissue and transplants ovaries for fertility preservation, and offers donor eggs and gestational surrogacy. Many patients travel from other states and countries, and initial consultations can be held by video.
