Family Beginnings, PC

Family Beginnings, PC is a physician-led fertility practice in Indianapolis headed by James G. Donahue, MD, a reproductive endocrinologist who has practiced privately in the city since 1995. Dr. Donahue also holds a master's degree in clinical embryology and is certified as a high-complexity laboratory director, so he oversees the clinic's embryology and andrology laboratory himself. In early 2026 the practice was acquired by INVO Fertility, which said the existing medical team would remain in place.

The clinic occupies a purpose-built office on Clearvista Place on the north side of Indianapolis, with an on-site IVF laboratory and egg retrieval suite. Services include fertility evaluation and diagnostics, ovulation induction and IUI, IVF with ICSI, assisted hatching, frozen embryo transfer and preimplantation genetic testing, as well as INVOcell intravaginal culture, which the practice was the first in Indiana to offer.

The laboratory freezes and stores embryos, eggs and sperm, including for patients facing cancer treatment. Donor sperm, anonymous or known egg donation and donor embryos are available, and LGBT patients can pursue reciprocal IVF or gestational surrogacy.
