Bay IVF Center

Bay IVF is a small, physician-led fertility clinic in Palo Alto, California, founded in 2011 by Frank (Francis) Polansky, MD. Dr. Polansky completed his reproductive endocrinology fellowship at Stanford in 1985, co-founded Stanford's IVF program that year, and established Nova IVF in 1987 before opening Bay IVF.

The clinic is located at 1681 El Camino Real and serves patients from across the San Francisco Bay Area. Embryos are cultured in the clinic's own laboratory. Dr. Polansky personally oversees each patient's care and performs the ultrasounds, egg retrievals and embryo transfers himself. Initial consultations can be held by video.

Treatment centers on IVF with individualized ovarian stimulation, conventional insemination or ICSI, and embryo freezing and banking. The clinic also offers preimplantation genetic testing, including for gender selection, as well as egg freezing and donor egg IVF. For male-factor infertility, it can use sperm obtained by surgical aspiration, for example after a vasectomy. Bay IVF provides reciprocal IVF for female couples and performs IVF cycles for intended parents working with a gestational surrogate.
