Austin Fertility and Reproductive Medicine-Westlake IVF

Austin Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (AFRM), which operates its IVF program under the name Westlake IVF, is an independent, family-run practice in Central Texas. Practice director Dr. K.M. Kavoussi, now emeritus, has cared for fertility and gynecology patients in Austin for more than 30 years; his sons Dr. Shahryar Kavoussi, a reproductive endocrinologist and the medical director, and Dr. Parviz Kavoussi, a fellowship-trained reproductive urologist, lead the clinical team, so female and male infertility are treated within one practice.

The main office at 300 Beardsley Lane in West Lake Hills houses an office-based IVF suite, with egg retrieval and transfer rooms next to the embryology and andrology lab. Satellite offices are located on James Casey Street in South Austin and on Cat Hollow Drive in Round Rock.

Services include fertility testing, ovulation induction, IUI, IVF with ICSI, assisted hatching and embryo biopsy for chromosome testing, donor egg and donor sperm treatment, and LGBTQ+ family building with gestational carriers. Surgical options include robot-assisted tubal reversal and, for men, microsurgical vasectomy reversal and sperm retrieval.
