Dmitri Dozortsev

Dr. Dmitri Dozortsev is a reproductive scientist and embryologist who serves as scientific director at the Advanced Fertility Center of Texas in Houston and directs Omni-Med Laboratory, the CAP-accredited lab that performs the practice's assisted reproduction work. He earned a medical degree from First Pavlov State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1988 and a PhD in biomedicine from Ghent University in Belgium in 1995. He has been certified as a high-complexity laboratory director by the American Board of Bioanalysis since 1996 and as a reproductive embryologist by the American College of Embryology since 2010, and he is president of that college. He oversees the embryology laboratory and consults with physicians on difficult cases, particularly those involving poor egg quality. He is not licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
