About
The Georgia Center for Reproductive Medicine (GCRM) is an independent, physician-owned fertility practice in Savannah that opened in 2003. It was founded by Dr. Patrick L. Blohm, who remains its medical director; he trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Johns Hopkins and completed his reproductive endocrinology fellowship at Duke. The practice states that patients see a reproductive endocrinologist at every visit.
GCRM's office is on Reynolds Street in Savannah, where IVF procedures and cryopreservation are carried out in an office-based setting. The practice is not affiliated with a local hospital system, although Dr. Blohm holds privileges at Memorial Health University Medical Center and St. Joseph's/Candler for hospital-based care.
Treatments include ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, fertility preservation, donor egg therapy and IVF for gestational carrier arrangements, along with andrology services and sperm cryopreservation. The practice also recruits egg donors through its website.
