About
Penn Fertility Care - Lancaster General Health is the south-central Pennsylvania site of Penn Fertility Care, the fertility practice of Penn Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania. It opened in October 2020 as a joint effort with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, so that patients outside the Philadelphia area no longer had to travel to Philadelphia or Radnor for full treatment. Christine Skiadas, MD, serves as medical director.
The practice is located at 2112 Harrisburg Pike, Suite 110, in Lancaster. It houses an on-site embryology laboratory, described by Penn as the first in Lancaster County, which allows egg retrieval, fertilization and embryo transfer to take place locally. The team includes reproductive endocrinologists, an advanced practice provider, embryologists and clinical support staff.
Services include fertility testing, monitoring and ultrasound, IUI, IVF, frozen embryo transfer, preimplantation genetic testing, fertility preservation and third-party reproduction with donor eggs or donor sperm. Patients pursuing a gestational carrier are coordinated with the Philadelphia program. The practice also cares for LGBTQ+ patients building their families.
