Geisinger Medical Center Fertility Program

The Geisinger Medical Center Fertility Program is the reproductive endocrinology and infertility service of Geisinger, an integrated health system serving central and northeastern Pennsylvania. It is a hospital-based program, not a private practice, so patients can be referred directly from Geisinger's obstetrics, gynecology and primary care services.

The main clinic is at Geisinger Medical Center, 100 North Academy Avenue in Danville. Reproductive endocrinologist Jennifer Gell, MD, leads a small team of physician assistants. Geisinger also says its fertility specialists see patients in State College, at the Healthplex in Port Matilda, and in Wilkes-Barre.

The program diagnoses and treats infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. Its services include fertility testing, ovulation-inducing medication, fertility surgery, IUI and IVF. It also offers egg and embryo freezing, preimplantation genetic testing, and treatment with donor eggs or donor sperm. Family-building care is available to LGBTQ+ patients.
