Lucina Egg Bank

Lucina Egg Bank is a frozen donor egg bank in San Diego, California, led by president and chief medical officer Dr. David Harari. The bank says its team has more than 30 years of experience in third-party reproduction, but it does not publish a founding date. Its office is at 3661 Valley Centre Drive, Suite 160, in the Carmel Valley area.

Lucina recruits and screens egg donors to FDA requirements and freezes their eggs by vitrification. It sells cohorts of frozen eggs to intended parents, who use them at their own IVF clinic. The donor database lists more than 3,500 profiles. In 2023 the bank introduced ReflEggction, a donor search tool that uses facial recognition to suggest donors who resemble a photo the parents submit. Lucina also offers guarantee programs tied to blastocyst development, PGT-A results or pregnancy.

Frozen eggs can be shipped to partner clinics in California, elsewhere in the United States and abroad. Clients include heterosexual couples, gay couples, single fathers and international families.
