Egg Donor Agency - San Diego

Egg Donor Agency is a San Diego egg donation agency with offices at 402 West Broadway in downtown San Diego. It matches intended parents with fresh egg donors and does not run a frozen egg bank. The agency says it has worked with families for more than a decade. Its website does not name a founding year or founder.

Intended parents can search a donor database with profiles that cover medical history, education, background and interests. Donors come from a range of ethnicities and educational backgrounds. Before acceptance, each donor goes through medical, genetic and psychological evaluations and a background check.

Once a donor is chosen, the agency coordinates the medical screening, the legal agreements with attorneys and the egg retrieval cycle with partner fertility clinics in San Diego. Donor travel costs are covered when a donor has to go to a recipient's IVF clinic elsewhere. The agency serves heterosexual couples, same-sex couples and others who need donor eggs to build a family.
