Hatch Fertility

Hatch Fertility is an egg donation and surrogacy agency based in Los Angeles. It traces its history to 1991, when licensed marriage and family therapist Shelley Smith founded The Egg Donor & Surrogacy Program. The agency describes that program as one of the first egg donor agencies in the United States. It has since rebranded as Hatch and also uses the eggdonation.com domain.

The office is at 10880 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 370, in Westwood. Hatch recruits and screens egg donors and gestational surrogates through medical, psychological, genetic-history and social screening, then matches them with intended parents. Its services include fresh egg donation cycles, a frozen egg program, full surrogacy journey management and a program covering medical and non-medical costs. According to the agency, many of its staff are former surrogates.

Hatch serves heterosexual couples, gay couples and single men and women. A large share of its clients are international intended parents, and the agency reports clients from more than 50 countries. It has an international program manager, and its staff speak 13 languages.
