About
The Fertility Institute of New Orleans (FINO) was founded in 1976 by Dr. Richard Dickey, who left the LSU School of Medicine to open what the practice describes as Louisiana's first fertility clinic. Since a 2021 acquisition it has been part of First Fertility, a multi-state network of fertility practices, while keeping its own name and physicians.
The Mandeville office is a satellite clinic on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, inside the Causeway Executive Suites at 800 N. Causeway Boulevard, Suite 2C, with free on-site parking. Dr. Warren "Jay" Huber, Dr. Peter Lu and Dr. Stacey Scheib see patients here. The office handles consultations, fertility testing and semen analysis, ovulation induction, IUI, and monitoring for IVF and fertility-preservation cycles, including egg and embryo freezing. Egg retrievals, embryo transfers and surgery take place at FINO's main Metairie location, which houses the IVF laboratory and surgery center.
The practice serves couples, single parents and LGBTQ+ patients and also offers genetic testing of embryos, donor egg or sperm IVF, and male infertility care through its main office.
