Family Makers Surrogacy

Family Makers Surrogacy is a boutique gestational surrogacy agency in the Atlanta, Georgia area, founded in 2016 by Ashlee Hammonds, who serves as founder and president. Hammonds started the agency after years of infertility, pregnancy losses and failed adoption attempts, before she and her husband finally had a child through an independent surrogacy arrangement.

The agency focuses solely on gestational surrogacy and is not a medical provider. Its services cover intended parent consultations, surrogate recruitment and eligibility review, medical record review, background checks, insurance review, matching, and coordination with fertility clinics, psychologists and reproductive attorneys. Support continues through embryo transfer, pregnancy monitoring, birth planning and the postpartum period, and escrow and billing are coordinated with third-party providers. According to the agency, each of its case managers has completed a surrogacy journey with Family Makers.

Family Makers works with intended parents across the United States and has a dedicated LGBTQ+ program, partnering with attorneys experienced in LGBTQ+ parentage and preparing hospitals to recognize both parents at delivery.
