Fairfax Cryobank

Fairfax Cryobank is a donor sperm bank established in 1986 as the cryopreservation division of the Genetics & IVF Institute in Fairfax, Virginia. It was created to give the institute's patients donor semen with more extensive genetic and infectious-disease screening, and it later began supplying physicians and medical centers across the United States and abroad. The bank is FDA-registered and headquartered in Fairfax.

The Roseville, Minnesota site on Lexington Avenue North has its roots in Cryogenic Laboratories, Inc. (CLI), a long-running Minnesota sperm bank that became a sister bank to Fairfax in 2002 and was later folded into the Fairfax brand. Fairfax says it continues to operate from Roseville, which serves as one of its regional donation and specimen pick-up/drop-off locations alongside sites in Virginia, Texas, Pennsylvania, California and Florida.

Services include a searchable catalog of screened sperm donors, shipment of donor vials to clinics and, where permitted, to homes, semen freezing and long-term storage for patients, and embryo and oocyte storage. Fairfax ships to many countries and serves single women, couples and LGBTQ+ families.
