ConceiveAbilities

ConceiveAbilities is a surrogacy and egg donation agency headquartered in Chicago. Nazca Fontes, who had worked in fertility clinic laboratories, founded it in 1996 as Reproductive Options of Illinois, one of the early egg donor agencies. The business adopted the ConceiveAbilities name in 2000 and added a gestational surrogacy program in 2008.

The headquarters is in the Riverside Plaza building in Chicago's West Loop. Over the years the agency has opened offices elsewhere, including Denver, New York, Dallas, Houston, San Jose and Irvine, and its website now lists surrogacy locations in more than a dozen U.S. metro areas. The Chicago team recruits and screens Illinois surrogates and works with local IVF clinics.

Intended parents can use its surrogate-matching process, called Matching Matters, along with a searchable egg donor database and case management. Surrogates receive a compensation and care package that extends into postpartum recovery. The agency runs dedicated programs for international and same-sex parents and publishes information in Chinese, Spanish and French.
