USC Fertility

USC Fertility is the clinical fertility practice of Keck Medicine of USC. Its physicians are faculty in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Keck School of Medicine. Richard J. Paulson, MD, has directed the USC fertility program since 1986. Its research showed that egg donation can extend childbearing for women over 40 and over 50. The program was also an early adopter of egg freezing and fertility preservation.

In 2021 USC Fertility became part of HRC Fertility, a Southern California fertility network founded in 1988. The practice moved from the USC Health Sciences Campus to HRC's Pasadena flagship at 55 S. Lake Avenue in Old Town Pasadena, where HRC's IVF laboratory is located. HRC is now a Keck Medicine affiliate, and the arrangement also supports USC's research and fellowship training.

Through the Pasadena center, patients can receive fertility testing, IUI, IVF with ICSI and single embryo transfer, egg and embryo freezing, and fertility preservation. Third-party options include sperm and embryo donation and surrogacy, and the center also provides LGBTQ+ family building, recurrent pregnancy loss care and male infertility evaluation.
