Adoption and Surrogacy Choices of Colorado

Adoption and Surrogacy Choices of Colorado, formerly Adoption Choices of Colorado, is a state-licensed, private nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency that has served birth parents, children and adoptive families in Colorado since 2002. Executive Director Christy Ikeler has been with the agency since it opened, and its staff includes home study providers, a child placement supervisor and affiliated adoption attorneys.

The agency is based at 2801 Youngfield Street, Suite 320, in Golden, Colorado, west of Denver, where it also holds its training sessions for adoptive parents.

Domestic infant adoption remains its core work: free counseling, legal support and hospital help for birth parents, plus home studies, required pre-adoption training and post-placement services for adoptive families. Alongside adoption it runs a gestational surrogacy program that recruits and screens carriers, matches them with intended parents, offers counseling and mediation, and refers clients to fertility clinics and attorneys for the medical and legal steps.
