Sarah Baumgarten

Dr. Sarah Baumgarten is a reproductive endocrinologist at Reproductive Medicine & Infertility Associates (RMIA) in Minnesota, where she joined the physician team in 2024 and serves as Director of Education. She completed her undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University and earned both her M.D. and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She then trained at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, completing residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Her research spans basic science on hormones and ovarian cells as well as clinical studies on IUI-related anxiety, frozen embryo transfer outcomes, PCOS and pregnancy loss. Her clinical interests include IVF, LGBTQ+ family building and third-party reproduction with donor sperm, donor eggs and gestational carriers. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and board eligible in REI.
